Terminal Strip for Power Circuits

The GE CR2960SY139C3B is a three-pole barrier terminal strip rated for 50 A at 600 V AC. It accepts wire sizes from 14 AWG up to 6 AWG and mounts directly to a panel. The phenolic housing is black and the strip measures 2.94 in long by 1.38 in wide by 1.5 in high.

Panel Mounting and Wire Compatibility

This strip fits into a build that uses panel-mounted screw connections for power distribution. The 1 5/32 in center spacing sets the mounting hole pattern. It frees the installer from splicing or crimping by providing screw terminals for solid or stranded conductors within the stated gauge range. No cover is included with the unit.

Sustained Current Handling

Under continuous load the phenolic housing and UL-listed construction support the full 50 A rating across all three poles. The screw terminals maintain contact pressure without the relaxation seen in spring-clamp alternatives. Heat dissipation relies on the wire cross-section and the panel surface rather than active cooling.

Questions about this item

How many poles does the CR2960SY139C3B terminal strip provide for power circuits?

The strip has 3 poles, each rated for 50 A at 600 V AC with 6 AWG maximum wire size.

What temperature rise should be expected when the strip carries 50 A continuously?

Phenolic housing and UL listing indicate the strip is designed to run at rated current without overheating when wired to 6 AWG conductors.

Does the barrier strip include a protective cover or must one be sourced separately?

No cover is included; the open barrier design relies on panel mounting and proper wire routing for safety.
