GE Power Inlet 30 A 120/240 V L14-30P NEMA 3R Steel

GE 30 A Power Inlet for Generator Connection

This GE power inlet provides a 30 A, 120/240 V AC connection point for portable generators. The L14-30P NEMA configuration matches standard generator cords used in residential backup scenarios. It is built for outdoor or damp locations with a NEMA 3R steel enclosure. Buyers adding a manual transfer switch or generator hookup will use this inlet.

Verify Voltage, Amperage

Confirm that your generator cord and transfer equipment are rated for 30 A at 120/240 V AC and use an L14-30P plug. The steel housing carries a NEMA 3R rating, so the mounting location must be suitable for a rainproof enclosure. Local electrical codes may require a licensed electrician to perform the final installation.

Steel Housing and NEMA 3R Rating Deliver

The steel construction protects the internal contacts from impact and corrosion in outdoor environments. The NEMA 3R rating means the enclosure sheds rain and sleet while allowing drainage. These features let the inlet survive seasonal exposure without degrading the connection quality over time.
