Practical limits of the AC coil and power ratings

The contactor is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 140 degrees F and an insulation voltage of 690V for both power and signalling circuits. Electrical durability reaches 1.4 million cycles at 40A AC-1 below 440V and 1.65 million cycles at 25A AC-3e below 440V. Mechanical durability is tested to approximately 15 million cycles. Average impedance is 2 mOhm at 40A 50Hz. These figures define the thermal and electrical boundaries for continuous use.

Replaces older IEC contactors

This model upgrades installations where mechanical life below 15 million cycles or electrical life below 1.4 million cycles at 40A has caused premature replacement. The jump is worth it when the application demands the tested damp-heat resilience per IEC 60947-1 Annex Q category D and IACS E10 exposure standards. It is not for systems requiring reversing operation or coil voltages other than 480V AC.
