GE Q6 mate 1080P Business Projector

The GE Q6 mate is a portable LCD projector with a native 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 1500:1 contrast ratio. It supports 4K input signals and projects images from 17 to 130 inches. Built-in WiFi6 and Bluetooth enable wireless streaming from smartphones and laptops. It suits professionals needing a compact display for meetings or home entertainment.

Setup and common issues

The unit uses a tabletop mount and offers a throw distance of 1.3 to 6 meters. Wireless mirroring via WiFi6 or Bluetooth is the primary connection method. HDCP restrictions block screen mirroring from protected apps such as Hulu, resulting in no image or sound. Users must insert a TV stick or use an HDMI cable to a laptop for that content.

Deciding specification

Native resolution is fixed at 1920 x 1080 with a maximum supported resolution of 1920 x 1080. This means the panel cannot display detail beyond Full HD even when fed a 4K signal. Buyers who require true 4K pixel density should consider a different projector class.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the GE Q6 mate is projecting a correct 1080P image after setup?

Display a 1920 x 1080 test pattern and confirm the picture fills a 17 to 130 inch screen with a 1500:1 contrast ratio and 60 Hz refresh rate.

What ports and accessories come in the box, and what must I add for HDMI or audio?

The unit includes DC, AV, USB and 3.5 mm headphone ports; an HDMI cable and any TV stick or Chromecast for protected content are not supplied.

Which screen size version suits a 3 metre throw distance in a small office?

At 3 metres the projector produces roughly a 60 inch image, well within the 17 to 130 inch range, so the single Q6 mate model covers that distance.
