Bolt-on thermal-magnetic breaker rated 15 A at 277/480 V AC with 14 kA interrupting capacity for GE AE lighting panels
This 15 A two-pole circuit breaker mounts directly onto GE AE lighting panels using a bolt-on connection. It provides standard thermal-magnetic protection for single-phase AC circuits rated at 277/480 V and DC circuits up to 250 V. The moulded case unit fits a 125 A frame size and accepts lug terminals for secure wiring.
Electricians swap this breaker into existing GE TEY panelboards when an older device trips repeatedly or fails inspection. The fixed instantaneous trip point of 575 A matches the original specification, so coordination with downstream devices remains unchanged. It is not suited for panels that require adjustable trip settings or a different frame size.
The 14 kA AIR rating at 277/480 V AC defines the maximum fault current this breaker can safely interrupt. Systems with available short-circuit current above that level need a higher-rated device. The bolt-on mounting style also prevents use in plug-in or DIN-rail panelboards, so verify the panelboard type before ordering.

The breaker occupies a standard two-pole slot in a GE AE lighting panelboard with bolt-on mounting rails.
Align the breaker feet with the panelboard bus, press firmly until seated, then torque the terminal lug to the value marked on the breaker label.
Inspect contacts for discolouration after any trip above 575 A; replace the breaker if pitting or overheating signs are visible.
