Three-pole thermal-magnetic breaker rated 50 A at 277/480 V AC with 14 kA interrupting capacity for GE AE lighting panels
The GE TEY350 is a moulded-case circuit breaker rated at 50 A with three poles for 277/480 V AC systems. It uses a thermal-magnetic trip unit with a fixed instantaneous setting and a high amp trip setting of 1. The breaker fits GE AE lighting panels and mounts by bolt-on connection to the panelboard. Frame size is 125 A TEY.
Thermal-magnetic operation provides overload and short-circuit protection without external power. The breaker carries a maximum AIR rating of 14 kA at 277/480 V AC. Fixed instantaneous trip ensures consistent response under fault conditions. Rated for 250 V DC as well.
Bolt-on panelboard mounting secures the breaker directly to the bus without extra hardware. Lug terminals accept cable connections for straightforward wiring. Unit dimensions are 5.25 in high, 3 in wide and 3.06 in deep. No additional accessories or software are bundled.

Align the breaker's bolt-on mounting feet with the panelboard bus stabs, torque the mounting bolts to the panel manufacturer's specification, then secure the line and load lugs; the step often missed is verifying full stab engagement before tightening the lugs.
Periodically re-torque the lug connections and inspect for discoloration; the thermal-magnetic trip unit is not field-adjustable, so if nuisance tripping or failure to trip occurs the entire 50 A breaker must be replaced.
The breaker's maximum AIR rating is 14 kA at 277/480 V AC; any available fault current above that value exceeds the device's interrupting capacity and requires a higher-rated breaker.
