A 20 A single-pole miniature circuit breaker rated 120/240 V AC with a 10 kA interrupting rating, DIN-rail mountable and UL Listed
This GE THQC series miniature circuit breaker provides 20 A single-pole protection at 120/240 V AC for compatible GE panelboards. It mounts on a surface or DIN rail and uses a toggle actuator for manual switching. The unit carries a 10 kA interrupting rating at the rated voltage and accepts wire from 14 AWG to 8 AWG. It is UL Listed for code-compliant installations.
Swap this breaker when an existing 1-pole device in a GE panelboard shows nuisance tripping, physical damage or has reached the end of its service life. The 10 kA AIR rating matches the original specification for standard residential and light commercial feeds. The jump is worth it when the panelboard schedule calls for a THQC frame and the circuit requires 20 A at 120/240 V AC.
The breaker snaps onto a DIN rail or surface mount without special tools, then wires land in the integral lug terminals. Ensure the mounting rail is secure and the lug screws are torqued to the panelboard manufacturer’s value so connections do not loosen under thermal cycling. Verify the panelboard is a GE model that accepts THQC frames before ordering.

The breaker depth is 2.4 in, so the panelboard must provide at least that much clearance behind the mounting rail.
After clipping the breaker onto the rail, the lug screws must be torqued to the specified value before energising the circuit.
The lugs accept 14 AWG through 8 AWG copper conductors, so keep that range available for any later rewiring.
