Gefen AYY-X1 Wireless HDMI Extender Kit

The Gefen AYY-X1 is a wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver kit designed for plug-and-play screen sharing. It decodes 4K input and outputs 1080P video with ultra-low latency of .01s over distances up to 164 feet. Dual-band 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz operation provides interference-resistant performance for presentations, home entertainment, and education.

Check power and port requirements before ordering

The receiver requires a 5V/2A power supply that must be connected during use. Your source device needs an available HDMI output, while the display needs an HDMI input. The kit includes one HDMI extension cable. Ensure both units have line-of-sight or minimal obstructions for the stated 164-foot range. No software installation is required for basic operation.

Suits users needing cable-free HDMI up to 164 feet

Ideal for meeting rooms, classrooms, and living rooms where running cables is impractical. The one-tap 90-degree screen rotation helps with portrait-mode displays. Not suited for buyers who need native 4K output on the display, multi-room distribution, or transmission through thick walls beyond the rated range. Also not for setups lacking a USB power source for the receiver.
