Single-Adapter POC Extender

This HDMI-over-Ethernet extender kit transmits 1080P video up to 196 feet over a single Cat 5e, 6 or 7 cable. Power-over-cable technology means only the transmitter needs the supplied 5 V adapter, simplifying installation for digital-signage, classroom or home-theatre runs where AC outlets are scarce at the display end.

Suits Remote-Display Installs

Installers who need a single-cable, single-power-supply link between a source such as a PS5, Fire Stick or DVD player and a distant screen will benefit from the 60 metre reach on Cat 6 and built-in EDID handling. Sites that require 4K resolution, runs beyond 60 metres, or fibre-grade bandwidth should evaluate alternative transmission methods.

60-Metre Cat 6 Range

The extender delivers 1080P at 6.75 Gbps over Cat 6 up to 60 metres when powered at the transmitter; distance drops to 30 metres if the adapter is connected at the receiver, and Cat 5e is limited to 50 metres. Matching the cable category and power-injection point to the required run length is the decisive specification for a stable link.

Questions about this item

What length of Cat 5e/6/7 cable can the extender span?

Up to 196 ft (60 m) with Cat 6; Cat 5e is limited to 165 ft (50 m).

Where should the 5 V power adapter be plugged for the full 60 m reach?

Connect it to the transmitter (TX) side; powering the receiver (RX) limits the link to 30 m.

How often will the Cat 6 patch cable need replacing in a permanent install?

Solid-core Cat 6 rated to EIA/TIA 568B typically lasts many years; swap only if connectors fail or the cable is damaged.
