3.5 mm TRRS Lavalier Microphone

The GELRHONR LH-932 is a wired lapel microphone weighing 15 g with a 1.5 m cable. It connects via a gold-plated 3.5 mm TRRS plug and includes a windscreen and a 360° clip for hands-free recording on phones, tablets, cameras and computers.

TRRS Single-Jack Limitation

The single TRRS connector carries both microphone input and headphone output on one plug, so the host device must combine those signals on its 3.5 mm port. When the microphone is inserted, the device switches to the external mic and disables its own speaker, preventing live audio monitoring through the phone.

Check Your Device Port

Verify that your equipment has a 3.5 mm TRRS socket that supports an external microphone; many modern phones omit the jack entirely and require a separate adapter not included here. Devices with separate microphone and headphone jacks will not work with this single plug without a splitter cable.

Questions about this item

Should I pick a different connector type or cable length for my setup?

This model only comes with a 3.5 mm TRRS plug and a 1.5 m cable, so there is no alternative version to choose from.

What does the 15 g weight mean when I clip it on during a stream?

At 15 g the microphone is barely noticeable on a lapel, and the 360° anti-slip clip holds it securely without pulling on clothing.

Does the 3.5 mm TRRS connection work with my phone's combined headset jack?

Yes, the gold-plated 3.5 mm TRRS plug fits the standard four-pole headset port on smartphones, tablets, laptops and consoles for immediate plug-and-play audio capture.
