Bypass pruner for live stems

This bypass pruner is built for trimming live flower stems and green growth up to 5/8 inch thick. The bypass blade action reduces crushing so plants heal faster. Precision-ground alloy steel blades keep their edge through repeated use. A low-friction coating and sap groove keep the blades moving freely.

Gardeners who need clean cuts on small wood

It suits gardeners making frequent cuts on soft stems and thin branches. The ambidextrous, non-slip handle lessens fatigue during long sessions. Buyers who need to sever deadwood or thick limbs should look at a lopper or saw instead. The tool is not designed for heavy structural pruning.

5/8 inch cut capacity

The maximum cutting diameter is 5/8 inch, which sets the limit for every pruning task. Blades are alloy steel with a non-stick finish and a serrated edge for grip. An easy-open safety lock secures the jaws for storage. One pruner is included per pack.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the bypass blades are cutting cleanly without crushing stems up to .625 in?

After setup, make a test cut on a live green stem no thicker than .625 in; a clean, smooth cut with no crushed fibres shows the bypass action is working as intended.

What comes in the box and what must I supply separately?

The package includes one 22-7 bypass pruning shear with alloy-steel serrated blades, non-stick coating, sap groove and non-slip grips; no additional tools or accessories are included.

Which version should I choose for everyday garden pruning versus lighter snipping tasks?

The single 22-7 model with .625 in cut capacity is built for regular garden maintenance on stems and small branches; there are no alternative capacities or versions listed for this product.
