All-in-One Charging Solution

The GENIUS5 is a 5-amp smart battery charger that works as a maintainer, trickle charger and desulfator in one unit. It handles 6-volt and 12-volt lead-acid batteries including AGM, gel, SLA, VRLA, flooded and deep-cycle types, plus 12-volt lithium iron phosphate batteries. The integrated thermal sensor adjusts the charge rate for ambient temperature to prevent overcharging in heat and undercharging in cold.

Upgrade from Lower-Amp Units

Compared with a 1-amp charger rated at 15 watts, the GENIUS5 delivers 75 watts and supports batteries up to 120 Ah instead of 30 Ah. Moving up from a 2-amp model rated at 30 watts doubles the current and raises the capacity ceiling from 40 Ah to 120 Ah. The jump is worthwhile when you maintain larger automotive, marine or powersport batteries and want faster recovery without buying a 10-amp unit.

Build Integration

The charger connects with the included battery clamps and plugs into a standard 120-volt outlet. It weighs 1.59 pounds and is 34% smaller than the earlier G3500 design, so it fits easily on a workbench or in a vehicle storage compartment. Force Mode lets you manually charge batteries down to zero volts, while the supply mode can power 12-volt devices during battery changes. It is not for users who need a jump-starter function or a higher 10-amp charge rate.
