Capacity and construction

These Genuine Joe 1229 liners hold 13 gallons each and use 0.9 mil low-density resin for puncture resistance. The 24 by 25 inch dimensions fit standard office receptacles. A patterned design helps staff distinguish them from lighter bags at a glance.

Durability in daily use

The flexible material stretches around irregular waste without tearing under typical breakroom loads. Drawstring closure keeps hands clean during removal and prevents spills when lifting. Low-density resin maintains strength across temperature swings common near doors or vents.

Pack quantity and handling

Carton contains 60 liners, reducing reorder frequency for facilities teams. Flat-packed rolls store compactly on janitorial shelves. Drawstring feature speeds up change-outs during peak cleaning rounds.

Questions about this item

How do I fit the 24 by 25 inch liner onto a 13 gallon can without tearing the 0.9 mil film?

Open the drawstring fully, lower the liner straight down so the gusseted sides expand evenly, then pull the drawstring tight over the rim — the low-density resin stretches around corners instead of snapping.

When will the 0.9 mil low-density resin start to degrade and need replacement?

The material resists punctures until it is cut or overloaded; store the roll away from heat and direct sunlight and the remaining liners stay usable for years.

At what load does the drawstring closure become the weak point on a full 13 gallon bag?

The drawstring holds the rated 13 gallon capacity; once the bag is lifted past that volume the closure bears the full weight and can slip before the film itself fails.
