Medium-Duty Can Liners

Genuine Joe 2431 liners are two-ply trash bags sized at 24 by 31 inches for 16-gallon containers. They are sold in a 100-count carton on a coreless roll for easy dispensing in office breakrooms, janitorial closets or light commercial settings.

Low-Density Material Limits

The low-density polyethylene provides stretch that resists punctures from irregular waste, but it will tear under sharp edges or heavy point loads. Dual sidewalls and a star-bottom seal distribute weight evenly, yet the film is not rated for construction debris, wet-heavy organics or temperatures that exceed typical indoor conditions.

16-Gallon Capacity Headroom

Each liner comfortably holds daily office refuse, paper towels and light packaging up to the 16-gallon brim. Overfilling past the rim or compacting dense material such as broken glass or saturated food waste will exceed the puncture resistance and cause failure at the seams.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 16 gallon 24x31 size or a different capacity?

Choose the 16 gallon 24x31 liners when your container matches those dimensions; the 100-count carton suits medium-volume use.

How does the 16 gallon capacity hold up in daily use?

The 16 gallon volume fits standard medium-duty bins; two-ply sidewalls and star-bottom construction spread weight to resist punctures and tears.

What does the coreless roll format mean for dispensing?

Cores are omitted so each 24x31 liner pulls straight from the roll without a spindle, allowing quick single-hand dispensing anywhere.
