Deskside Recycling Bin for Offices

The Genuine Joe 57257 recycling wastebasket provides a dedicated container for sorting recyclable materials at a desk or workstation. Its low-profile design allows it to slide under standard desks and stay out of sight. The blue and white body features the universal recycle logo for instant identification. It suits classrooms, offices, commercial spaces and institutional settings.

Steady Use in Shared Spaces

The 28 quart capacity handles daily paper, plastic and can collection without frequent emptying during a typical workday. Rigid construction keeps its shape when full and resists cracking under sustained load. The open top offers quick drop-in access so users do not need to lift a lid. It remains stable on hard floors and low-pile carpet during repeated use.

Fit and Compatibility Check

Measure the clearance beneath your desk to confirm the 14 by 10 by 15 inch footprint will slide in without obstruction. Verify that your local recycling programme accepts mixed streams in a single bin before committing to one container. Ensure the blue and white colour coding matches any existing sorting system in the facility. The unit is sold individually.

Questions about this item

Does the 28-quart capacity generate any noise or heat when used continuously?

No, the wastebasket is a passive container with no moving parts, so it produces no noise, heat, or power draw during all-day use.

What additional items are required for the 57257 model to function as a recycling bin?

Only compatible liner bags are needed; the universal recycle logo is already moulded into the blue-and-white body for instant identification.

Will the 14-by-10-by-15-inch footprint fit beside older desk-side bins I already own?

Yes, the low-profile dimensions allow it to slide under most desks and sit flush alongside existing containers without overhang.
