High-Traffic Indoor Wiper Mat

This Genuine Joe Platinum Series mat is built for indoor entrances and corridors that see constant footfall. The 43-1/2 by 66 inch nylon carpet surface traps dirt, moisture and debris before they spread further into the building. A nitrile rubber backing grips both hard floors and low-pile carpet without shifting. The mat is sold as a single unit ready for immediate placement.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The nylon pile is preshrunk during manufacture so the mat stays flat and will not wrinkle or develop waves after weeks of heavy use. Reinforced double-rubber borders resist fraying where wheels and heels cross repeatedly. The 54 mil base sheet maintains its thickness and cushioning under continuous compression. Stains and trapped solids release easily with routine vacuuming or extraction cleaning.

Practical Limits Of The Rubber Backing

The all-rubber "picture frame" backing keeps edges flat on smooth or lightly textured surfaces but is not rated for outdoor exposure or standing water. Oils, solvents or sharp debris can degrade the nitrile compound over time. The mat is designed for indoor commercial use only and should not be used as an anti-fatigue station or in wet-process areas.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 54 mil thick nitrile rubber backing generate when the mat is left in place all day?

The mat is a passive floor covering with no electrical components, so it produces no heat during continuous use.

What floor type must already be in place for the double rubber border and nitrile backing to grip properly?

The backing is designed to stay stable on both smooth hard floors and low-pile carpeted surfaces without additional preparation.

Will the 43-1/2 by 66 inch mat lie flat over an older vinyl tile floor that has slight curling at the seams?

The picture-frame rubber border and preshrunk construction keep edges flat, helping the mat bridge minor subfloor irregularities.
