20-Inch Black Stripping Pads for Floor Care

These Genuine Joe 90220 pads measure 20 inches in diameter and arrive in a five-count carton. The black colour indicates an aggressive abrasive surface designed to cut through heavy finish buildup. They are intended for professional janitorial crews and facility managers stripping large resilient floors.

Rotary Machine Compatibility and Pad Wear

The pads attach to standard rotary floor machines using a centre-lock or clutch-plate driver. Aggressive stripping generates heat and slurry that accelerate pad breakdown, so operators should expect to replace pads multiple times during a single large job. Always rinse pads between passes to prevent clogging and maintain cutting efficiency.

Replaces Worn or Softer Pads When Finish Is Thick

Switch to these black pads when red or blue pads no longer remove aged acrylic or urethane coats. The jump is worth it when the floor shows yellowing, deep scratches or multiple wax layers that lighter pads glaze over. They are not suited for daily scrubbing or light cleaning tasks.

Questions about this item

Which 20-inch black pad pack should I choose?

The only option is model 90220, a carton of five 20-inch black stripping pads.

What does the 20-inch size mean once it is on my machine?

It matches a 20-inch rotary floor machine so the pad covers the full drive plate during stripping.

What interface or standard does the pad use and what does that limit?

The centre hole fits standard 20-inch rotary machine drive plates, limiting use to that mount.
