Built for field work

The Getac B300 G6 is a rugged notebook designed for professionals who operate outdoors or in harsh industrial environments. Its QuadraClear 13.0" touchscreen remains readable in direct sunlight while resisting dust, moisture and vibration. The Intel Core i7-6500U dual-core processor at 2.50 GHz provides steady performance for data logging, diagnostics and fleet management software.

Windows 10 Pro and optical drive

The laptop ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit pre-installed, delivering domain join, BitLocker encryption and remote management features that IT teams rely on. An internal DVD±R/RW drive adds the ability to read legacy installation media or burn field reports without carrying external hardware. A single HDMI port allows quick connection to a vehicle-mounted display or briefing room projector.

8 GB memory and 512 GB SSD headroom

The 8 GB DDR4 memory handles typical ruggedised workloads such as GIS viewers, terminal emulation and database front-ends without swapping. The 512 GB solid-state drive offers fast boot times and enough capacity for offline map tiles, sensor logs and firmware images. Buyers who need more storage or memory for virtual machines will find the platform constrained.

Questions about this item

Will the 8 GB DDR4 memory need upgrading for heavier workloads?

The 8 GB DDR4 is soldered and cannot be expanded, so plan workloads around that fixed capacity.

What limits the i7-6500U during long rendering sessions?

The dual-core 2.50 GHz CPU with HD Graphics 520 will hit thermal throttling before the 512 GB SSD becomes a bottleneck.

How loud and hot does the 7.70 lb chassis get under all-day load?

The magnesium-alloy body runs warm but stays within spec; fan noise rises to an audible but not intrusive level.
