Built for field work

The Getac K120 is a new 12.5-inch rugged tablet running Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i7-8550U processor with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB SSD. Its IPS LumiBond display reaches 1200 nits for sunlight-readable clarity at 1920 x 1080 resolution. MIL-STD-810G and IP65 certifications plus a 1.8m drop rating confirm its durability.

Suited to mobile professionals in harsh environments

Workers who need a fully rugged, touchscreen Windows device with integrated Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 5 will find it matches their requirements. Buyers who want more storage or a consumer-grade lightweight tablet should look elsewhere. The optional barcode reader and serial port expand its utility for logistics and industrial tasks.

Deciding spec: 256GB SSD capacity

The solid-state drive size determines how much local data, applications and offline maps the tablet can hold without external drives. If your workflow demands a larger onboard volume, this configuration will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

How do I maintain the LumiBond display and the IP65 seals over time?

Clean the 1200 nits LumiBond screen with a soft, dry cloth; avoid harsh chemicals that could degrade the anti-static film. Inspect the port covers and chassis seals regularly for debris or wear to keep the IP65 rating intact.

What limits performance first when the Core i7-8550U runs at up to 4 GHz for long periods?

The tablet’s fanless thermal design means the processor will throttle its clock speed once the internal temperature reaches the chassis dissipation limit during sustained heavy workloads.

How much heat and noise should I expect from the UHD Graphics 620 and passively cooled chassis during all-day use?

With no moving parts the system is silent; the outer case becomes warm to the touch as the aluminium chassis spreads heat from the CPU and integrated graphics, but surface temperatures stay within the -21 °C to 65 °C operating range.
