Rugged 12.5-inch tablet for field professionals

The Getac K120 is a new rugged tablet built for mobile workers who need a durable Windows 10 Pro device in harsh environments. Its MIL-STD-810G and IP65 certifications confirm resistance to vibration, drops from 1.8 metres, and dust or water ingress. The 12.5-inch IPS LumiBond display reaches 1200 nits for sunlight-readable clarity.

Integrated connectivity

Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 5 provide reliable wired and wireless networking on site. Optional 4G LTE mobile broadband adds connectivity where infrastructure is absent. TPM 2.0 and an optional smart card or HF RFID reader strengthen device authentication, while a Kensington lock slot secures the hardware physically.

1TB SSD and 16GB DDR4 handle typical field workloads

The 1TB solid-state drive stores large datasets, maps and offline documentation without relying on cloud sync. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory keeps multiple business applications responsive. UHD Graphics 620 drives the 1920 x 1080 panel and external displays via HDMI, but it is not suited for intensive 3D rendering or heavy GPU compute tasks.

Questions about this item

Will the 1 TB SSD be user-replaceable if it fails?

The 1 TB SSD is inside the sealed IP65 chassis, so replacement requires disassembly that breaks the waterproof rating and is not a user-serviceable task.

What limits sustained performance first — the 1.8 GHz base clock or the 620 graphics thermal ceiling?

Under continuous load the UHD 620 GPU hits its thermal ceiling before the CPU reaches its 4 GHz turbo, so graphics thermals throttle the tablet first.

How loud is the fan and how hot does the 12.5 inch chassis get during an all-day shift?

The fanless design means zero noise, but the magnesium case reaches skin-warm temperatures as it dissipates heat from the 1.8 GHz processor and 620 graphics.
