A micro-ATX board for LGA 1151 300 Series Xeon E and Core CPUs with dual Intel gigabit LAN, eight SATA ports, two M.2 slots and 64 GB DDR4 support
The GIGABYTE C246M-WU4 uses the Intel C246 chipset on a Micro ATX board with an LGA 1151 (300 Series) socket. It supports Intel Xeon E series processors as well as 9th and 8th Generation Intel Core, Pentium and Celeron CPUs. Older LGA 1151 processors are not compatible.
Verify that your processor is an Intel Xeon E series or a 9th or 8th Generation Core, Pentium or Celeron part. The board will not work with earlier LGA 1151 CPUs. Plan for DDR4 2666, 2400 or 2133 modules across four 288-pin slots running in dual-channel mode up to 64 GB total.
One M.2 socket accepts 2242, 2260, 2280 or 22110 PCIe x4 or x2 SSDs while a second takes 2242, 2260 or 2280 SATA and PCIe x4 or x2 drives. Eight SATA 6Gb/s connectors provide RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 support. A single PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot and two x1 slots handle add-in cards, and dual Intel GbE LAN ports supply two 1 Gbps network links.

The motherboard includes the I/O shield, SATA cables and documentation. You must purchase a compatible LGA 1151 (300 Series) processor, DDR4 memory modules, storage drives and a power supply separately.
The board supports DDR4 2666, 2400 and 2133 in dual-channel mode up to 64 GB total. Install matched pairs in the 288-pin slots for best stability.
Two Intel GbE controllers give two independent gigabit Ethernet ports, allowing separate wired networks or link aggregation for up to 2 Gbps total throughput.
