Precision digital scale for home cooks

The Girwu Girwu001 weighs up to 11lb with 1g precision and 0.01oz resolution. It switches between six units including grams, kilograms, pounds, ounces, millilitres and milk millilitres. The stainless steel 304 platform resists stains and wipes clean quickly. Two AAA batteries are included for immediate cord-free use.

Consistent accuracy during extended sessions

Readings remain stable at 1g increments throughout long baking or meal-prep sessions. The tare function subtracts container weight so multiple ingredients can be added sequentially without removing the bowl. The backlit LCD stays legible in low light, preventing misreads when hands are busy or lighting is dim.

Simple setup with common pitfalls

Insert the supplied AAA batteries, place the scale on a flat surface and press the power button to start. Ensure the platform is free of debris and the non-slip pads contact the counter evenly to avoid drift. Do not exceed the 11lb limit or apply side loads, as this can damage the sensor and void accuracy.

Questions about this item

Does the scale draw noticeable power or generate heat when left on for long baking sessions?

It runs on two included AAA alkaline batteries with no mains connection, so there is no heat output and negligible power draw during extended use.

What must I already have for the Girwu001 to work straight out of the box?

Nothing extra — the two AAA batteries are supplied and the 304 stainless steel platform is ready to weigh immediately.

Will the 1 g precision and tare function still be useful if I keep my older mechanical dial scale for heavy items?

Yes, the 1 g resolution and tare button let you measure light ingredients accurately while the dial scale handles larger loads.
