Glass Desk Top Chair Mat 36x48

The 36 by 48 inch tempered glass mat sits on a desktop to create a smooth rolling surface for office chairs. Its transparent design preserves the look of the desk underneath while protecting the finish from caster wear. The rectangular shape suits standard workstation layouts.

Tempered Glass Rolling Surface Limits

Tempered glass resists scratches from chair wheels but can chip or crack if heavy objects are dropped on its edges. The rigid panel does not flex, so it requires a flat, fully supported desktop; uneven surfaces create pressure points that increase breakage risk. It is not designed for use on carpets or soft flooring.

Stockroom Plus Build and Daily Use

The Stockroom Plus designation marks a commercial-grade panel built for continuous office traffic. Its leather-finished edges protect the glass perimeter during installation and daily contact. The clear surface wipes clean with standard glass cleaner and shows no wear from repeated chair movement over time.

Questions about this item

Which size should I choose among the 36 x 48 inch, 20 x 36 inch and 19 x 24 inch options?

The 36 x 48 inch mat covers a full desktop, while the 20 x 36 inch and 19 x 24 inch versions suit smaller surfaces or secondary work areas.

How does the 36 x 48 inch tempered glass surface behave under daily rolling-chair use?

The tempered glass resists scratches and dents, stays flat under chair wheels and wipes clean without showing wear.

What does the rectangular transparent glass format limit in practice?

The fixed rectangle covers only the area directly beneath the desk; curved or L-shaped tops need a custom-cut mat.
