Two-Piece Clamping Collar

The Global G2SC-287-SS is a two-piece clamping collar designed for shaft mounting in power transmission assemblies. It suits maintenance engineers and equipment builders who need a secure, split-ring fastener for alignment or component positioning.

Proposition 65 Chemical Warning

This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Buyers requiring RoHS-compliant or substance-restricted hardware for regulated markets should verify suitability before specifying this collar.

Split Installation and Alignment

The two-piece design allows installation without removing shaft-mounted components, reducing downtime during repairs. Misalignment during reassembly can reduce clamping force, so mating faces must be cleaned and bolts torqued evenly to maintain holding power.

Questions about this item

Which G2SC-287-SS variant should I choose for my application?

The G2SC-287-SS is offered as a single two-piece clamping collar in a transparent finish; no alternative sizes or material versions are listed for this model.

What does the Proposition 65 notice mean once the collar is installed in equipment?

The warning indicates the collar contains a chemical recognised by California as a cancer and reproductive hazard; normal handling after installation does not change that classification.

How does the two-piece clamping design affect shaft mounting compared to a one-piece collar?

The two-piece construction allows the collar to be fitted or removed without sliding it over the shaft end, simplifying maintenance on assembled equipment.
