What It Is

The Global GSC-225-SS is a transparent set-screw collar designed for power-transmission assemblies. It suits maintenance technicians and hobbyists who need a visible locking component on shafts or rods.

Sustained Use

The collar secures position through a set-screw mechanism that resists loosening during continuous vibration or rotational cycles. Its transparent material allows quick visual confirmation that the fastener remains seated without disassembly.

Deciding Spec

The collar is identified by model number 225 and carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals linked to cancer and reproductive harm. Buyers requiring certified substance-free hardware should select an alternative part.

Questions about this item

Does the transparent set screw collar generate noticeable heat or noise when used continuously in a power transmission system?

The collar is a passive mechanical component with no moving parts, so it produces no noise and negligible heat during continuous operation.

What shaft size or mounting hardware must I already have for the GSC-225-SS collar to function correctly?

You need a compatible shaft matching the collar's bore diameter and a hex key to tighten the set screw securely.

Will this transparent collar fit older Global shafting or bearings I already own in my equipment?

It fits any shaft with the correct bore diameter regardless of age, provided the shaft tolerance matches the set screw locking design.
