Questions about this item

How is the GSC-250-SS set screw collar installed, and what step is often missed?

Slide the collar onto the shaft, align the set screw with the keyway or flat, then tighten the screw evenly; the step often missed is confirming full contact between the screw tip and the shaft before final torque.

What maintenance or replacement will the GSC-250-SS collar need later?

Periodically check the set screw for loosening caused by vibration and re-tighten if necessary; replace the collar if the screw threads strip or the bore shows visible wear.

What limit appears first on the GSC-250-SS collar under sustained use?

The set screw can back out under continuous vibration, leading to loss of clamping force before the collar body itself yields.
