Classic Minimalist Design

The Globe Electric 52024 is a 28-inch swing-arm architect desk lamp finished in matte white. Its exposed springs and mechanical details give it a timeless, minimalist look that suits modern home offices or bedrooms. The lamp stands 27.99212598 inches tall when fully extended. A rotary on/off switch sits conveniently on the shade for quick access.

Build Integration

The compact 6.8-inch diameter base keeps the desktop clear while the spring-loaded upper arm lets you direct light exactly where it is needed. The fixture requires one E26 medium-base bulb up to 60 watts, sold separately, and accepts LED, incandescent or halogen types. No special wiring or mounting hardware beyond a standard wall outlet is required.

Capacity and Headroom

At 60 watts maximum the lamp provides ample illumination for reading, writing or screen work at a single desk. It is not designed for lighting larger areas or multiple workstations. Buyers who need higher output, integrated LED modules or a wider reach will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

How hot does the 60-watt bulb get after hours of continuous use?

A 60-watt incandescent or halogen bulb will become very hot during sustained operation; the shade and arm can reach temperatures that cause burns, so allow cooling before adjusting.

Does the rotary switch on the shade stay cool enough to touch after the lamp runs all day?

The switch is mounted on the metal shade, which absorbs heat from the bulb; it will be warm or hot after extended use and should be operated with care.

What type of bulb must I already have to install in the E26 socket?

You need one E26 medium-base bulb rated up to 60 watts — compatible with LED, incandescent or halogen types — and it is sold separately.
