Globe-Weis 18 pt Legal Top Tab Fastener Folder

The Globe-Weis 078973197379 is a box of fifty legal-size manila folders built for high-volume filing in offices and archives. Each folder uses 18-point stock that resists bending and tearing during daily handling. The rigid cover doubles as a stable writing surface when a desk is not available. Two embedded fasteners secure and subdivide related documents inside a single file.

Two-inch capacity fasteners

The 2-inch capacity fasteners hold a large stack of punched pages without needing a separate binder. Tabs are supplied in assorted 1/3-cut positions so adjacent folders stagger naturally in a drawer. Each folder is scored for 3/4-inch expansion, allowing the gusset to grow as the file thickens. These features keep multi-section projects together and searchable.

18-point manila stock for legal-size documents

The 18-point manila material determines whether the folder withstands frequent retrieval and long-term storage. Thinner stock creases quickly; heavier board adds unnecessary bulk. Buyers who need letter-size folders or fastenerless jackets should select a different product.

Questions about this item

How often should I expect to replace the 18 pt. Manila folders in a busy filing cabinet?

The 18 pt. Manila stock resists bending and tearing, so folders last through heavy daily handling; replace only when a cover is torn or a fastener no longer closes.

Will the 2" capacity fasteners limit how many papers I can keep in one folder?

Each fastener holds up to 2 inches of material; once that thickness is reached the folder will not close flat, signalling it is time to start a new folder.

Do the fasteners or the expansion score make the folders bulky when stored all day in a drawer?

The 3/4" expansion score lets the folder grow only when needed, and the embedded fasteners sit flush, so a full drawer stays compact and runs cool.
