130 mm Speedring for Broncolor Flash

The Glow Edge 130 mm speedring insert connects Broncolor Impact flash heads to Glow EZ Lock Quick Series and Octa Quick softboxes. It serves as an interchangeable alloy mount that adapts the flash head to the proprietary EZ Lock quick-release system. Photographers who already own Glow quick softboxes gain a secure, tool-free attachment point for Broncolor-style lights.

Installation uses the self-catch EZ Lock mechanism

A thick centre shaft provides a finger-friendly push to open the lock and a generous release to close the softbox. The steel construction resists bending during repeated mounting cycles. The only common issue is forcing the ring onto a non-Broncolor head, which prevents the lock from engaging and risks damage to the adapter.

Suits Broncolor Impact users

Studio and location shooters who need rapid softbox changes on Broncolor heads will benefit. It does not fit flash heads with different mount patterns, so owners of Profoto, Elinchrom, Bowens or standard spigot lights must use the dedicated adapter for those systems. Buyers without Glow EZ Lock or Octa Quick softboxes have no use for this insert.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the speedring insert is properly locked onto my Broncolor Impact flash head?

Push the self-catch EZ Lock mechanism until it clicks around the thick centre shaft; the release lever then closes the softbox securely, confirming a firm mount.

What comes with the 130mm speedring insert and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains only the alloy speedring insert; any Glow EZ Lock Quick Series or Octa Quick Softbox with a 130mm insert diameter must be bought separately.

Which Glow softbox versions work with this 130mm insert?

It fits every Glow EZ Lock Quick Series Softbox and every Octa Quick Softbox that specifies a 130mm insert diameter.
