Glow Edge 17" Silver Beauty Dish for Norman Allure Mount

17-inch silver beauty dish

The Glow Edge 17" Silver Beauty Dish fits the Norman Allure mount and is built for portrait and fashion photographers who want a distinctive quality of light. Its double parabolic reflector blends the punch of a direct flash with the wrap of a softbox. The silver finish boosts output and contrast while revealing fine subject detail. The 17-inch diameter suits head-and-shoulders work and tighter shooting spaces.

Thermals noise and power

As a passive light modifier the dish adds no heat, noise or electrical draw to the lighting head. It simply reshapes the existing beam from the flash or continuous source. The opaque centre disc blocks direct spill and redirects light into the bowl for a softer, more controlled pattern. No active cooling or power connection is required.

Upgrade path and fit

This dish replaces a standard reflector or small modifier when you need stronger contrast and a more focused, wrap-around quality without the bulk of a large softbox. The jump is worth it for photographers who shoot beauty, fashion or dramatic portraits and want the signature catch-light and fall-off that only a beauty dish delivers. It is not suited for buyers who need very broad, even illumination across large groups or wide scenes.
