Product Identity

The Glow Edge 17" Silver Beauty Dish mounts to Profoto-compatible strobes to produce focused light with soft edges. Its silver interior maximises output and contrast for portrait and fashion photography. The aluminium construction keeps weight low for transport to location shoots.

Sustained Output

The aluminium body dissipates heat during extended studio sessions, maintaining consistent reflectivity without warping. The double parabolic reflector system blends direct flash quality with softbox-like wrap for reliable results across long shooting days.

Deciding Specification

The Profoto mount requirement means this dish only fits strobes with that specific attachment or a matching speedring. Buyers using other mounting systems cannot attach it without an adapter that is not included.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 17" silver beauty dish add when used all day with a Profoto head?

The aluminum reflector does not generate heat; it simply redirects the flash output, so running it continuously adds no extra thermal load beyond the light itself.

Which speedring must I already own to mount this dish on my Profoto light?

A Profoto-compatible speedring is required and sold separately; the dish slides onto that ring and locks in place.

Will my existing Profoto grids or diffusion socks fit the 17" rim?

The 17" diameter matches standard Profoto accessory sizing, so grids and socks made for 17" Profoto modifiers will fit directly.
