Glow Edge Eggcrate Grid for Profond Quick-Open 55" Deep Parabolic Softbox

Designed for 55" Profond Quick-Open Softbox

This eggcrate grid is built specifically for the Profond Quick-Open 55" Deep Parabolic Softbox with Focusing Rod System. It attaches over the softbox aperture to give photographers precise directional control. The accessory is intended for fashion and portrait shooters who need to shape light tightly. It folds down to a small footprint for travel and location work.

Check softbox model and mounting method before

Verify that you own the Profond Quick-Open 55" Deep Parabolic Softbox, as this grid is sized exclusively for that unit. The grid fastens via a Self-Securing Closure strip running along its perimeter, so the softbox must present the matching hook-and-loop surface. No other mounting hardware is included or required. Ensure the softbox is fully assembled and tensioned before fitting the grid.

Adds beam control to a key or fill light setup

When fitted, the grid narrows the softbox output to reduce spill on backgrounds and the subject's body. This lets you feather light for high-key depth in fashion work or accentuate facial features in portraiture. The grid folds compactly, freeing bag space for location kits. It works with the softbox whether used as a keylight, reflector, or blended with daylight and additional fill sources.
