Glow Edge EZ Lock 65" Translucent Deep Umbrella with Black Shield Kit XL

65-Inch Translucent Deep Umbrella Kit

The Glow Edge EZ Lock 65" Translucent Deep Umbrella with Black Shield Kit XL converts a parabolic umbrella into a large soft dome. It is built for photographers who need broad, diffused illumination for individual portraits or small group sessions. The kit includes a black shield that directs flash output through the translucent fabric. Durable fiberglass ribs support the deep parabolic shape for regular professional use.

Parabolic Soft Dome for Studio Flash

The black shield installs over the umbrella perimeter in seconds, forcing all flash power through the dome with zero light loss. This design increases coverage while maintaining peak output from the light source. The deep parabolic profile feathers light efficiently, creating subtle contrasts and soft shadow definition. It produces a softbox effect suitable for bridal photography and larger subjects without requiring a separate softbox enclosure.

Upgrade from Standard Reflective Umbrellas

This kit replaces a traditional reflective umbrella when a photographer needs wrap-around translucent quality and maximum flash efficiency. The jump is worth it for sessions demanding smooth skin tones and even illumination across wider areas. It is not for shooters who require the specular highlights or directional control of a bare silver or white reflective surface. Builders needing a collapsible softbox with rigid diffusion panels should look elsewhere.
