Designed for Profoto A2 users

The Glow Edge ParaSnap Octagonal Softbox 24" is a dedicated light modifier built for the Profoto A2 monolight. It targets photographers who need a portable soft light source for portrait, fashion or creative work. The kit includes a specific adapter that mounts the softbox directly to the flash head without the pistol-grip handle. This makes it suitable for on-location and studio shooters using that specific monolight system.

Magnetic adapter ensures secure fit

The single specification that decides compatibility is the included Glow PS-OTA-A2 Adapter, which allows the softbox to mount magnetically to the Profoto A2 light body. This direct connection replaces the standard handle and locks the modifier in place for reliable performance. Photographers using any other flash system, including other Profoto models, cannot attach this softbox without a different adapter. Buyers needing Bowens mount or universal speedring compatibility should look elsewhere.

SterlingFibre lining boosts output

The proprietary SterlingFibre Silver Lining lines the interior to increase light efficiency and brilliance compared to standard white diffusers. The ParaSnap mechanism expands the octagonal frame into shape with a single motion, removing the need for separate rods or speedrings. A front diffuser and carrying case are included to complete the kit for immediate use. Users wanting a larger spread or different shape will need a separate modifier.

Questions about this item

How does the 24-inch octagonal shape affect the light on my subject?

The octagonal design produces even light distribution and round catchlights, giving portraits a natural look while reducing harsh shadows across the frame.

How does the Glow PS-OTA-A2 adapter connect the softbox to the Profoto A2?

The adapter mounts magnetically to the monolight body, replacing the pistol grip so you can use the A2's own handle for a secure, direct fit.

What clearance do I need to open the ParaSnap mechanism on location?

The single-motion frame expands and locks into its full 24-inch octagon instantly, so you only need enough room for the deployed softbox itself.
