Drum shade for table and bedside lamps

This white linen drum shade measures 13 inches across the top and bottom with a height of 10 inches. It fits most standard table and nightstand lamps. The spider fitter uses a .41 inch washer that rests on a harp above the bulb and is secured with a finial. The shade arrives rolled and clips onto the metal frame in about one minute.

Assembly clips and linen fabric

The shade ships rolled around its metal rings and is secured by pressing the fabric into the built-in clips, a process that takes roughly one minute. The outer linen cover has a textured finish that diffuses light, while the inner polyethylene lining adds structure. Harp and finial are not included, so the existing lamp must already have a harp that accepts a spider fitter.

Check harp fit and shade clearance

Before ordering, verify that your lamp uses a harp and finial to hold a spider-type shade, because this model will not work with uno or clip-on fitters. Measure the harp height to ensure the 10 inch shade sits at the desired level above the bulb. Confirm the 13 inch diameter clears the lamp base and surrounding furniture.

Questions about this item

Will the 0.41 inch spider fitter need replacing over time?

The solid metal frame is built to last for decades, so the 0.41 inch spider fitter should not require replacement under normal use.

What limits how long I can leave the lamp on continuously?

The linen fabric and polyethylene lining are designed to soften light from the bulb; the shade itself does not impose a runtime limit, so duration depends on the bulb used.

Does the shade get hot or affect room temperature after hours of use?

The natural linen material helps prevent strong light and heat from the bulb, providing a comfortable lighting experience without adding noticeable warmth to the room.
