Godox Photo Equipment Co. Ltd 35" Lantern Softbox for KNOWLED MG1200Bi

SKU CH-JWMF-QJF9Z

A 35-inch lantern softbox that diffuses the KNOWLED MG1200Bi LED into soft, omnidirectional light and collapses for quick, portable setup

  • Omnidirectional light covers large areas evenly with the 35" lantern design
  • Quick assembly saves set time with speedring attachment to G Mount
  • Durable construction withstands frequent studio and location use
  • Lightweight collapsible frame simplifies transport and storage
  • 5-star rating reflects consistent quality for MG1200Bi workflows

Purpose-built modifier

The 35" lantern softbox is engineered exclusively for the KNOWLED MG1200Bi bi-color LED light and attaches via the Godox G Mount system. It serves photographers and videographers who need omnidirectional, shadowless illumination for large spaces or group setups. The white diffusion fabric and rounded lantern shape spread light evenly in every direction. This makes it suited to interview, product and ambient fill work where wrap-around quality matters.

Sustained output behaviour

The softbox handles the continuous high output of the 1200 W fixture without degrading diffusion quality during long sessions. Its construction resists heat buildup so colour consistency remains stable across extended takes. Quick-deployment mechanics mean the modifier can be opened, mounted and collapsed repeatedly without loosening the speedring or fabric tension. Crews can maintain workflow pace on multi-hour shoots without pausing to readjust the light shaping.

Build and daily handling

High-grade materials and reinforced stitching withstand frequent transport and rigging cycles on location and in studio. The collapsible frame folds to a compact profile that fits standard gear bags, while the integrated speedring locks securely to stands or overhead grids. G Mount compatibility ensures a rigid, wobble-free connection to the MG1200Bi head, preventing accidental shifts when the lantern is suspended or angled. The 4.5 star rating reflects consistent reliability under professional daily use.

Questions about this item

How quiet is the 35" lantern softbox when the MG1200Bi runs at full output all day?

The softbox itself is passive fabric and makes no noise; any sound comes from the MG1200Bi cooling system, not the lantern.

What mount does the 35" lantern need to attach to the MG1200Bi?

It includes a speedring that locks directly onto the MG1200Bi's G Mount interface for tool-free installation.

Will the 35" lantern cover the same spread if I later pair it with an older Godox head that uses a Bowens mount?

The supplied speedring is G Mount only, so the lantern will not fit a Bowens-mount head without a separate G Mount-to-Bowens adapter.
