68" Parabolic Light Focusing System

The Godox 68" Parabolic Light Focusing System Kit is a large round softbox designed for professional photography and videography. Its 24-brace reflector creates even, dimensional illumination across a broad surface. The included focusing mount and rod allow quick assembly and precise light shaping on set. This kit suits studio work where light quality and control are priorities.

Portrait, fashion and large-product shooters

Photographers who need a single modifier capable of varied light character will benefit from the focusing system. The 68-inch diameter covers full-length portraits and bigger subjects with soft, wraparound light. Buyers who require a compact or highly portable light shaper for location work should consider smaller alternatives. The system is built for controlled studio environments.

Broad coverage with focusing flexibility

The 68-inch reflector comfortably handles group portraits, fashion spreads and large product arrangements with consistent illumination. Moving the light source along the focusing rod changes the beam from focused to wide, giving creative headroom within one modifier. Very tight spaces or rigs with low weight limits may find the size and 24-brace structure impractical.

Questions about this item

What type of light stand or mounting hardware is required to support the 68" parabolic reflector?

A heavy-duty light stand with a standard spigot or a sturdy C-stand is necessary to hold the weight of the 68" reflector and its focusing mount safely.

Can the focusing rod and mount be used with older Godox strobe heads that have a standard Bowens mount?

Yes, the focusing mount included in the kit uses a Bowens S-type fitting, making it compatible with Godox heads and other brands that share that mount.

How can I confirm the 24-brace reflector is tensioned correctly after assembly?

The fabric canopy should appear smooth and evenly taut across all 24 braces without wrinkles or sagging, forming a symmetrical parabolic curve.
