Purpose & Audience

The Godox UMic10 is a USB cardioid condenser microphone built for creators who record vocals, instruments, podcasts or voice-overs. Its large-diaphragm capsule rejects side and rear noise so home studios, bedrooms or kitchens still yield studio-grade clarity without acoustic treatment.

Build Integration

Plug-and-play USB connectivity works with Windows 7, 8, 10 and Mac OS, requiring no driver installation or external interface. A 3.5 mm headphone jack provides real-time monitoring at 20 Hz – 20 kHz with 10 mW into 32 Ohm, freeing the computer’s own audio output for other tasks.

Sustained Operation

The integrated shock mount suppresses vibration and handling rumble during long sessions, keeping the noise floor low take after take. Direct volume control on the microphone lets you adjust levels instantly while recording, preventing overloads that would otherwise require post-production fixes.

Questions about this item

What limits the microphone's performance during long recording sessions?

The cardioid condenser capsule isolates side and rear noise, so room acoustics and placement become the practical limit for sustained quality.

How much heat or noise does the UMic10 generate when used all day?

It draws power from USB with no fan or active cooling, so it produces no audible noise and negligible heat during continuous operation.

What headphones are needed to use the real-time monitoring jack?

Any headphones with a 3.5 mm plug work; the output delivers 10 mW into 32 Ohm loads across 20 Hz–20 kHz.
