Server Power Supply 550W

The godream R420 DPS-550NB A is a new ATX type power supply tested for working operation. It delivers 550W of power for compatible server or workstation chassis. The unit suits technicians maintaining or repairing Dell PowerEdge R420 systems requiring a direct replacement module. Reliable quality supports continuous operation in rack environments.

Direct replacement for failed OEM units

This supply replaces a faulty or degraded original DPS-550NB A module in supported Dell servers. The jump is worth it when the existing unit shows instability, fan failure or cannot sustain load under multi-drive configurations. It is not for builders needing higher wattage than 550W, redundant hot-swap frames, or non-Dell standard ATX pinouts. No adapter cables are included.

Questions about this item

What form factor does the 550 W ATX power supply use for the R420 server?

The unit follows the standard ATX form factor, so it fits the same mounting pattern and screw holes as any ATX power supply designed for the R420 chassis.

Which connector must be seated first when installing the DPS-550NB into the R420 backplane?

Align the main 24-pin ATX connector with the backplane socket and press it fully home before securing the four mounting screws; skipping this step leaves the supply loose and can bend pins.
