What the Google 45W USB-C Charger does

The Google 45W USB-C Power Charger delivers fast and efficient charging for Pixel phones, Pixel Buds, the Pixel Tablet and compatible laptops. It uses USB Power Delivery and is mindfully made with 47% recycled plastics. A compact, dependable wall adapter for daily power needs.

Who should buy it and who should not

Suits Pixel owners who want one charger for phone, buds, tablet and USB PD laptop. Buyers who need more than 45W output for larger laptops or who require multiple ports should look at something else. The single USB-C port limits simultaneous charging.

Installing and common issues

Plug the charger into a wall outlet and connect a USB-C cable to your device. No driver or software setup is required. The main issue is slower charging if the cable does not support the needed power level or if the device negotiates a lower rate.

Questions about this item

Does this 45W USB-C charger include a cable, or do I need to supply my own USB-C to USB-C cable?

The charger is sold without a cable, so you must provide your own USB-C to USB-C cable that supports the required power delivery.

Will this charger safely fast-charge my older Pixel 7 phone, or is it limited to the Pixel 9 series?

How can I confirm the charger is delivering the advertised 37W rate to my Pixel 9 Pro XL?

When the phone is at low battery, the lock screen will show "Charging rapidly" and reach roughly 70% in about 30 minutes.
