Hangouts Meet SpeakerMic G017A

The Google Hangouts Meet SpeakerMic G017A is a voice conferencing device built for meeting rooms that use the Hangouts Meet platform. It connects directly to the meeting kit without needing an external power adapter for a single unit. Advanced echo-cancellation and noise-suppression technologies keep speech clear during calls. Its compact design suits huddle spaces and medium conference rooms alike.

Teams needing simple USB audio for Hangouts Meet

This speakermic suits teams that want plug-and-play audio for Google Hangouts Meet without managing separate amplifiers or power bricks. It also works for larger rooms because multiple units can be daisy-chained to extend coverage. Buyers who need traditional analogue telephone connectivity or compatibility with non-Google conferencing platforms should look at other devices. Anyone requiring a brand-new unit in sealed retail packaging should also consider alternatives.

Single-unit bus-powered operation

A single SpeakerMic draws all the power it needs from the host connection, so no wall outlet is required at the table. This makes deployment fast and keeps cable count low for small rooms. For spaces that need wider pickup, up to 17 additional units can be linked together in a chain. The 30 day warranty covers the hardware after delivery.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the Hangouts Meet SpeakerMic G017A and daisy-chain additional units?

Plug the single SpeakerMic into the Hangouts Meet compute unit via the provided cable; no external power is needed for one unit. To extend coverage, connect a second SpeakerMic to the first using the daisy-chain port on the rear.

What ongoing maintenance does the G017A SpeakerMic require?

No scheduled maintenance is required. Keep the microphone grille free of dust and debris; wipe the exterior with a dry cloth if it becomes dirty. The 30-day warranty covers early defects.

What limits audio quality first during a long meeting with the G017A?

In a large room the single unit's pickup range becomes the limiting factor; adding a second daisy-chained SpeakerMic extends coverage so all participants stay within the echo-cancellation zone.
