This Gorton No. 5 angle vapor equalizing valve installs on radiators near the boiler and in warm rooms. It uses a 1/8 inch connection to release trapped air from steam heating systems. The venting capacity equals four ordinary type air valves. It is sold as a single new component for plumbing drainage and trap applications.

Brass construction with 1/8 inch thread

The valve body is built for steam service and threads directly into standard radiator tappings. Its angle pattern fits tight clearances close to the boiler where straight vents may not seat properly. Installers gain faster system balancing because one unit replaces multiple conventional vents. Not suited for hot water systems or low-pressure air service.
