DECT Cordless HD Handset

The Grandstream DP720 is a DECT cordless HD handset designed for voice mobility in professional environments. It pairs with the DP750 DECT VoIP base station to deliver wireless HD audio. The package includes the handset, a universal power supply, charger cradle, belt clip, two batteries and a Quick Start Guide. It weighs 0.85 kg.

Suited to mobile workers needing a wireless handset

This handset suits employees who must move around the workplace while staying on calls. It is not for users who require a wired desk phone with a dedicated Ethernet connection. It is also not for buyers who need a base station included, because the DP720 operates only when registered to a compatible base such as the DP750.

Requires DP750 DECT VoIP base station

The single specification that decides compatibility is the dependency on the DP750 DECT VoIP base station for registration and call control. Without that base station the handset cannot place or receive calls. Confirm that your deployment already uses or plans to use the DP750 before purchasing this handset.

Questions about this item

How much power does the DP720 handset draw while it sits on its charger cradle all day?

The handset weighs .85 kg and ships with a universal power supply and charger cradle; the supply plugs into mains power and keeps the two included batteries topped up during continuous desk use.

Which base station must I already own for the DP720 to register and make calls?

The DP720 is supported by the DP750 DECT VoIP base station, so that base must be present and configured before the handset can join the network.

Will the DP720 work alongside an older DECT base I already have on the same site?

The DP720 is designed for the DP750 base station; compatibility with other DECT bases is not guaranteed and the handset may not register or receive calls on different equipment.
