Hybrid Wireless AP

The Grandstream GWN7625 is a dual-band access point combining 2.4 GHz 2x2 and 5 GHz 4x4 radios for 2.03 Gbps wireless throughput. It suits small to medium offices needing a single unit that handles both legacy and modern clients without separate hardware.

Check your network

Verify that your switch can supply PoE or PoE+ because the unit auto-detects and adapts to either standard. Ensure you have a Gigabit uplink to avoid bottlenecking the two wireline ports and that your management platform can adopt GWN series devices.

Build and mounting

The access point is designed for ceiling or wall mounting with internal antennas keeping the profile low. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports allow a wired uplink plus a passthrough for a phone or camera. Secure boot and a unique certificate per device protect the firmware chain from tampering.

Questions about this item

Does the GWN7625 include a power supply or must I buy a PoE injector separately?

The GWN7625 auto-detects PoE or PoE+ so it can be powered directly from a compatible switch; no separate injector is required if your infrastructure already delivers PoE.

Which band should I rely on for the 44 MU-MIMO streams quoted in the highlights?

The 4×4 MU-MIMO with 44 streams operates on the 5 GHz radio, while the 2.4 GHz radio uses a 2×2 configuration.

Will the 2.03 Gbps wireless throughput hold up when 200 devices are connected?

The 2.03 Gbps figure is the aggregate peak across both radios; with 200 concurrent clients the per-device share drops, but advanced QoS keeps latency-sensitive traffic prioritised.
