230 W AC Adapter for MSI Gaming Laptops

This 230 W power supply delivers 20 V at 11.5 A through a 5.5 x 2.5 mm barrel connector. It replaces Chicony part numbers A17-230P1B and A230A038P for compatible MSI gaming laptops. The unit includes a detachable mains cord and carries CE certification.

Input Range and Connector Constraint

The adapter accepts 100–240 V at 50–60 Hz, so it works on mains supplies worldwide with only a plug change. Output is fixed at 20 V and 11.5 A; it cannot charge devices that require a different voltage or a higher current. The 5.5 x 2.5 mm barrel plug fits only laptops designed for that exact size.

230 Watt Output Decides Compatibility

A laptop rated for 230 W input will receive full power from this adapter. Machines that demand more than 230 W will not operate at peak performance or may not charge while running. Systems needing less power will work, but the adapter cannot supply a voltage other than 20 V.
