Power delivery for compatible laptops

This 12 V 5.5 A adapter supplies 66 W through an eight-hole connector. It suits owners of devices that list ADP-66CR A or ADP-66CR B as the approved part number. The unit ships with a power cord and accepts EU, US, UK or AU plug types.

Steady output across the input range

The adapter maintains its rated 12 V and 5.5 A from a 100–240 V supply at 50–60 Hz. CE certification confirms compliance with the stated safety and electromagnetic standards for continuous operation.

Direct replacement for the listed part numbers

It replaces ADP-66CR A or ADP-66CR B units that have failed or been lost. The upgrade is worth it only when the original charger matches the eight-hole connector and the 66 W rating exactly.

Questions about this item

Does the 66 W adapter run hot or make noise during all-day use?

The unit is a sealed power brick with no fan, so it operates silently; warmth is normal at full 66 W load.

Which cables or tips must I already have to connect this 8-hole plug to my laptop?

You need a laptop that accepts the 8-hole barrel connector; the package includes only the adapter and a detachable EU/US/UK/AU mains cord.

Will the 12 V 5.5 A output work safely with an older laptop that originally shipped with a lower-wattage charger?

Yes — the adapter supplies up to 5.5 A at 12 V; the laptop draws only the current it requires, so a lower-wattage device is unaffected.
