Purpose and compatibility

The Graviton TPN-DA08 is a 90W USB-C power adapter built for HP Spectre x360 15 laptops and the HSA-Q001PR travel docking station. It replaces part numbers TPN-DA08, 940282-003, 904144-850, TPN-CA10 and ADP-90FE B. Buyers who need a charger for a different voltage or barrel-connector device cannot use this unit.

Sustained load behaviour

The adapter delivers a fixed 20V at 4.5A for a continuous 90W output and also steps down to 5V, 9V, 10V, 12V and 15V at up to 5.0A for peripheral charging. It accepts 100-240V input at 50-60Hz so it operates worldwide without a voltage switch. Users who require more than 90W for a larger workstation will need a higher-rated supply.

Build and daily use

A USB-C plug carries both power and data to the laptop or dock, while the package includes a detachable mains cord with EU, US, UK or AU pins. CE certification confirms compliance with European safety directives. The single-cable design reduces desk clutter, though owners of older barrel-port laptops will find the connector incompatible.

Questions about this item

Does the 90W Type-C adapter stay cool and quiet when it runs all day at 20V 4.5A?

The unit has no fan and relies on passive cooling; it meets CE safety limits for continuous 90W output.

Which cable must I already own to connect this adapter to the wall socket?

The package includes one AC power cord with a plug for EU, US, UK or AU mains; no extra cable is required.

Will this 90W charger work with my older HP Spectre x360 15 that originally used the ADP-90FE B brick?

Yes — the adapter matches the 20V 4.5A 90W spec and the Type-C plug used by the Spectre x360 15 and the Travel Docking Station HSA-Q001PR.
