Questions about this item

Will the CB542A yellow cartridges work in my older CM1312 MFP without firmware issues?

The cartridges carry intelligent chips that are recognised by the CM1312 MFP and CM1312nfi MFP, so the printer identifies them and shows toner levels normally.

How can I verify the cartridge is printing correctly after I install it?

Print a test page; the fine toner powder should produce sharp text and vivid yellow graphics at the rated 5% coverage.

What exactly is inside the box and do I need to buy anything else to start printing?

The pack contains two CB542A yellow toner cartridges; no extra parts are required — just remove the orange protective cover and sealing strip, shake gently, then install.
