Compatible drum unit for Brother colour lasers

The GREENCYCLE DR223CL is a new aftermarket drum unit that replaces the Brother DR-223CL and DR227 originals. It contains black, cyan, magenta and yellow drums in a single pack rated for approximately 18000 pages at five percent coverage. The unit is intended for offices, schools, households and other environments that run colour laser printers daily and want to reduce consumable costs without changing hardware.

Fits listed Brother models directly

The drum unit installs into the printer exactly like the OEM part and works with the MFC-L3770CDW, MFC-L3750CDW, MFC-L3710CW, MFC-L3730CDW, HL-L3230CDW, HL-L3230CDN, HL-L3210CW, HL-L3270CDW, HL-L3290CDW, DCP-L3510CDW and DCP-L3550CDW. No additional kits or adapters are required; the existing toner cartridges remain in place and the printer recognises the drum immediately. Buyers who need separate toner cartridges or a different drum model will not be served by this pack.

Laser printing with no extra power draw

Because the drum is a passive mechanical component, it adds no electrical load and produces no fan noise beyond the printer’s normal operation. Print quality is described as clean, crisp text and vivid graphics without lines or spots when the unit is seated correctly. The sealed, anti-seismic packaging protects the photosensitive surfaces during storage. Environments that require non-laser technology or a drum rated for a different page count will need another solution.

Questions about this item

How many pages can the DR223CL drum unit produce before it needs replacing?

The drum unit is rated for up to 18000 pages at 5% coverage on Letter or A4 paper, after which print quality may decline and the unit should be replaced.

Does the GREENCYCLE DR223CL drum unit generate noticeable heat or noise during continuous printing?

The drum unit itself has no moving parts or power draw; all heat and noise come from the printer engine, so the drum adds no extra thermal or acoustic load.

Which Brother colour laser printers accept the DR223CL drum unit without a separate toner cartridge?

The DR223CL fits models including MFC-L3710CDW, MFC-L3750CDW, MFC-L3770CDW, HL-L3210CW, HL-L3230CDW, HL-L3230CDN, HL-L3270CDW, HL-L3290CDW, DCP-L3510CDW and DCP-L3550CDW; toner cartridges must be purchased separately.
