GREENCYCLE DR229CL 2-pack drum unit

This GREENCYCLE DR229CL 2-pack supplies two compatible drum units rated for approximately 30000 pages each at .05 coverage. They replace the Brother DR229CL drum in colour laser printers including HL-L3220CDW, HL-L3280CDW, HL-L3295CDW, HL-L3300CDW, HL-L8245CDW, MFC-L3720CDW, MFC-L3765CDW, MFC-L3780CDW and MFC-L8395CDW. The package contains drums only; toner cartridges are not included.

Drum life and coverage limits

Rated yield of 30000 pages assumes .05 page coverage on A4 or Letter paper; heavier graphics or solid fills will reduce actual drum life. The unit is a mechanical imaging component, not a toner supply, so print density and frequency determine when replacement is needed. No toner is shipped with this pack, so separate toner cartridges must be on hand before installation.

Compatibility decides fit

The single specification that determines whether this is the correct part is the printer model list: HL-L3220CDW, HL-L3280CDW, HL-L3295CDW, HL-L3300CDW, HL-L8245CDW, MFC-L3720CDW, MFC-L3765CDW, MFC-L3780CDW and MFC-L8395CDW. If your printer is not on that list, the drum will not fit. Buyers who need toner cartridges or a different drum model must look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Should I buy the single pack or the 2-pack DR229CL drum units for my HL-L3220CDW?

The 2-pack supplies two complete DR229CL drum units, each rated for 30000 pages at .05 coverage, so you can replace all colours at once or keep a spare.

What does the 30000-page yield mean when I print colour documents on my MFC-L3780CDW?

The 30000-page figure applies to each drum at .05 coverage on A4 or Letter paper; heavy graphics or full-page colour will reduce the practical life proportionally.

Does the DR229CL drum unit use a standard Brother interface that locks me into genuine toner?

The DR229CL drum fits the listed Brother printers directly and accepts compatible or genuine toner cartridges without any proprietary restriction.
